I will be overseas during the elections, so it looks like I will have to decide which presidential candidate to vote for in the next couple of weeks. There are actually over 100 people who have formed or announced a Presidential exploratory or campaign committee with the Federal Election Commission or filed a statement of candidacy. The fact remains, however, that there's no point in voting for anyone other than John S. McCain, III or Barack H. Obama, Jr. Which of the two will you vote for? If someone asked me that right now, I guess my answer would be "I don't know."
I really tried to understand where each candidate stands on the issues I believe in, but it becomes so difficult to do when they start talking in circles with no definite points. It becomes even more difficult when I don't agree with either candidate's stance.
I'm actually glad that I will be in Asia during the elections. I believe it will give me a global perspective on how the world views American politics. I'm sure I'll see some crazy coverage when I'm there.
