I'm staying w/my relatives in Taipei. They live conveniently up a mountain right outside the city in a 5-story house. Like some of the new townhome projects in the states, most of the houses in Taiwan are built vertically with multiple floors. The difference is that most of these homes have elevators inside.
I spent the day in the Xinyi District and visited Taipei 101, which is currently the tallest building in world at 509.2 meters (1,670.60 feet). I gotta admit... it's pretty scary looking down from that high up. Aside from my fear of heights, Taipei 101 was an awesome sight. The architects, C.Y.LEE & Partners Architects / Planners, did wonders in designing the building.
One of my girl cousins is taking a culinary class, and she baked me a cake in early celebration of my bday since she's not going to see me in January. They actually sang me happy birthday and everything... haha! The cake was good eats.
